Hourly Contracts on Upwork
Hey, it's Patrick. I only work on hourly contracts through Upwork. Keep reading to learn how they work and why they might be the best choice for your project.
My freelance rate can fluctuate, but you can lock in a rate with an hourly contract and keep it open as long as you'd like. Upwork invoices hourly contracts weekly, with each cycle ending on Sunday.
Hourly contracts require a minimum of 5 hours per week, and you're only charged for the hours I actually work. If I reach our hourly limit, I'll contact you, and you can decide whether to add more hours that week or wait until the next week begins on Monday. This helps clients manage their budget.
I track all my time using Upwork's Time Tracking App, installed on my computer. When tracking, it records screenshots and monitors my mouse and keyboard clicks, demonstrating that I am actively working on your project.
Clients can review the tracked work, see real-time billed hours, and close a contract at any time. Keep in mind you'll be billed for the hours already tracked. I find this method works well for both parties and helps keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Feel free to send me an hourly contract to review. New contracts can be started in the 'Messages' section on Upwork. If you have more questions, feel free to schedule a call with me on Upwork. I'm happy to discuss your project!
